Keeping in Touch

So when I'm abroad there are a ton of different ways to keep in touch with me.  Here they are, in order of preference:

1) Facebook/iChat/Gchat/Skype

My iChat, Gchat and Skype screen names are identical: dangoal36

These are all easiest.  Israel time is 8 hours ahead of our time, so the best times for you to catch me online are early in the morning or late at night.  I stay up late so you might see me online at 11 am or noon, Chicago time.  If that happens please tell me to go to bed.

Fun fact! Israel's weird because there's no class on Friday but there's class on Sunday, which means that when you are just getting ready to go out on Saturday night, I'll be sitting bleary-eyed in classes starting my week.  Think of me!

2) Phone

The service plans for my rental phone are very expensive so please only call in case of emergencies.  I have free incoming texts though, so text me as much as you want!  I might not respond because I'm pretty limited with my texting, but I promise I'll read it and think of you.

For calling: 011-972-52-611-9514

Fun fact! To make international calls, you dial your country's international code, then the international code of the country you are calling, then the phone number.  So, the US International Code is "011" and Israel's International Code is "972".  My Israeli phone number is actually 0-52-611-9514, but you don't dial the 0 for international calls.  See, now it all makes sense.

For texting: 847-213-9094

This number goes straight to my Israel phone, it's like my Israel phone's American identical twin. You can use this number for calls too but I would really prefer if you didn't because it's like 9999 cents/minute.  It's not actually that much, that would be pretty ridiculous.

Fun fact! Did I mention I have free incoming texts?  Text this number as often as you'd like.  If you're really funny I'll use one of my valuable texts and reply with a "lol" or something.  See, it's like a game now.

3) Snail Mail

I don't have my dorm address yet but I'll post it after I move in.

Fun fact! You don't really need this unless you're planning on sending me stuff I forgot at home (hi Mom!).

That's pretty much it.  5 Days until I leave!
